The Anti-iPhone

The iPhone was recently released. After much fanfare, news on the device is pretty dead. But also recently OpenMoko released a phone that is probably best described as anti-iPhone. In many ways, it does things similar to the iPhone, its design is everything the iPhone is not. While Apple does everything to lock the device and keep hackers out, OpenMoko does gives you all the hardware information and even sells a kit with debug boards. How cool is that?

The phone is Neo 1973. If your an average phone user I don’t recommend getting it yet. The current release is intended for developers only. But later this October, you can by the mass market version of this phone.
